Calle Colmenares 13
A friend recommended Boho Bar to me so on a rainy Saturday I headed there with one of the girls to check it out. We decided to go at 5pm as we had heard that it can be really busy during the morning time. We got a table with no fuss and decided it was a treat yourself kind of day so ordered coffee and cake (surprise surprise I hear you say..)
I opted for the Boho carrot cake and my friend chose the leche, cacao and galletas (milk with cookies and cacao). Firstly, the presentation of the desserts was gorgeous – my friend’s came in a cute jam jar (very on trend at the mo) and my carrot cake was actually carrot cake balls served on a black slate with a delicious fruit coulis. The taste definitely did not disappoint and our creamy coffee complimented the desserts perfectly. We happily sat there in our little corner and chatted for a couple of hours without any disruption.
Their food menu is simple but with some really delicious sounding dishes including: phad thai (a personal favourite), tuna tartar and tabuleh to name but a few. Their dessert menu is right up my street with lots of chocolate options, your choices include: original chocolate brownie, coolant au chocolat and an oreo biscuit. I think I will definitely have to take a trip back soon to try out some more of their desserts!
Kim’s tip: if you’re going for brunch make sure you ring ahead and reserve a table to avoid disspointment
